The use is free of charge although man hours are costed for any assistance required. However, ESA underlines that only a limited man power is available for instruction in the use of equipment/software.

The following procedure should be followed by any external entity wishing to use a simulation facility:

·          Make request to the laboratory responsible (i.e. Simon Johns);

·          State the minimum requirements required of the facility

·          Memorandum of agreement is created based on this information, which will form part of the contract

·          A contract is generated which must be signed and returned

The procedure nominally takes no more than 2 weeks.

The GNSS RF Signal Generator is a tool developed by SPIRENT communications (RF signal simulator) and Agilent (Noise Source).

The generator is composed of:

·         A SPIRENT GSS9000 (multi-constellation multi-antenna).

·          A SPIRENT GSS7800 (16 channels Galileo E1, E5a/b, E6)

·          A SPIRENT GSS8000 (12 channels GLONASS)

·          A SPIRENT GSS7700 (12 channels GPS L1 & L2 or 24 channels L1)

·          A SPIRENT GSS7700 (12 channels L5)

·          A SPIRENT GSS4766 (Single output Interference Combiner Unit)

·          A SPIRENT STR4767 (Timing & Control Unit)

·          An Agilent E4431B noise source (CW, AWGN, Pulsed)
