The European Union’s Galileo satellite navigation system has recently undergone rigorous testing aimed at assessing in depth its integrity, continuity and accuracy. We are pleased to report that the testing campaign was successful, with all services and parameters restored back to their nominal ranges within the planned timeframe.

This test, that will not be repeated at regular intervals, confirms the excellence of the operations teams involved in the day-to-day service delivery and lays the groundwork for the introduction of new Galileo services.

The European Commission extends its sincere gratitude to our partners—the European Union Agency for the Space Programme (EUSPA), the European Space Agency (ESA), and all contributing stakeholders—for their vital role in the successful completion of this testing campaign.

We also thank Galileo users worldwide for their understanding and patience during this period and apologize for any inconvenience caused.

As we continue to strengthen Europe’s independent satellite navigation capability, we remain fully committed to delivering service to over 4.2 billion users around the globe.
