The navigation test vehicle is a Mercedes Vito van with bespoke modifications to create a platform for testing navigation equipment and applications against a precise ‘truth’ in a mobile environment. It is equipped with RTK GPS receivers and high grade inertial measurement units to provide a highly accurate record of the vehicle’s track even under conditions of limited GNSS reception.
