The Bavarian capital will host the European Space Solutions conference from 5 to 7 November: an event that includes the Awards Ceremony for the European Satellite Navigation Competition 2013. Version 2.0 of the EGNOS Safety of Life Service Definition released

The European Commission has released a new version of the EGNOS Safety of life Service Definition Document (SoL SDD) updating the previous one from 2011. The Service Definition Document presents the characteristics and terms and condition of use of the services offered to users by the EGNOS Safety of Life (SoL).

Dubrovnik kicks off concrete cooperation within Road Tolling community

The 41st annual ASECAP Study and Information Days were held in the Croatian coastal city of Dubrovnik on 26 to 28 May. The event explored the role of toll roads in promoting sustainable growth in Europe and had a particular focus on how Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) could contribute. GNSS is a leading enabler of ITS and the European GNSS Agency (GSA) played a prominent role in proceedings.

Long-term stability for EGNOS secured

Today, in the presence of the Vice President Tajani, the European GNSS Agency (GSA) and the European Satellites Services Provider (ESSP SAS) signed a €450 million contract for the provision of EGNOS services until 2021. The contract will secure the continuous and safe provision of the three services offered by EGNOS and covers also maintenance and upgrading the EGNOS system infrastructure, and ensuring. The ceremony which took place in Brussels was attended by the Executive Director Mr Carlo des Dorides and the President of ESSP SAS, Mr Dirk Werquin.
